our manasalu blog jun-14 - The tourist area, Pasgaon, in Lamjung has finally been supplied with electricity.
The village was feed with electricity after Pasgaon Cottage Hydroelectricity Project, with a capacity of 65 KW, was constructed there. Currently, houses from Ward No. 9 to 214 are able to consume the electricity from the project.
The electrical home has been constructed in Ugi, Ward No. 9 in Pasgaon by using the water of the river nearby.
German institute GEO Rain Forest Conservation Humber, Annapurna Conservation Area Project, District Development Committee, Nepal Army and locals had assisted for the construction of the project built at a cost of Rs. 20.33 million.
The locals, who have been living with the help of candles, are extremely happy to have electricity supplied at their homes, informed Man Lal Gurung, President of Cottage Hydropower Construction and Consumers Committee.
