KATHMANDU, JUNE 20 - After a continuous search operation, the body of one among the five missing persons in Trishuli has been found on the bank of Trishuli river.
The body of the girl was found at Kerabari of Kabilash VDC in Chitwan this morning. As the witness informed the police has recovered the body from the place. The body was discovered some 20 km down Kurintar.
The body has been identified as Manika Regmi. She was swept away by the river along with her sisters Raini, Lisa, Asmita and friend Janak Rawat. The body has been handed over to the Regmi family following the post mortem.
The whereabouts of the rest missing persons is still unknown. However, Armed Police Force has continued the search operations.
The victims, who went to Kurintar along the Prithvi Highway to enjoy holiday, were missing since June 15 after they started swimming in the Trishuli River.
